The Predator in the Lilypond

Currently there is a certain hype in sporting antlers, skulls and other real animal-parts as headwear. The idea is really a bit strained by now. The concept behind this series is to sculpt natural structures like skulls, whole skeletons and other things from either natural or man-made materials (such as felt or patent leather), but they should be rather unusual for this purpose. This series is meant to be a little counterstatement. Generally speaking I really love the idea, but you can do it in a much more creative way than just painting and decorating a real skull.

Here, the lifesize, threedimensional, anatomical, trout-skeleton is complete with articulated jaws, seaweed and sprouts are all made from woolfelt as well.This might be one of my most elaborate hat-creations so far – it took me more than one week to complete.
